If you're in need of a last minute, wow-their-socks-off, "homemade" {I'm using the term loosely} treat for giving, entertaining, or just to complement a cup of coffee - Look no further!
Pecan Turtle Pretzels
2 bags of Rolos
1 bag of Snyder's of Hanover Pretzel Snaps
1 bag of pecan halves
{it's pronounced puh-cahn, for those of you saying pee-can - stop that.}
1 baking sheet
wax paper
2 bags of Rolos
1 bag of Snyder's of Hanover Pretzel Snaps
1 bag of pecan halves
{it's pronounced puh-cahn, for those of you saying pee-can - stop that.}
1 baking sheet
wax paper
Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
On a baking sheet lined with wax paper - lay out pretzel snaps. Then, place one Rolo on each pretzel snap.
"Bake" in oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the Rolos are soft {NOT melted}
Immediately after removing tray from oven, push a pecan onto each Rolo {but not too hard - you want the caramel to stay hidden inside}
After you have placed all of the pecans, put the tray in the freezer for 10 minutes {any longer and you'll have a hard time removing the turtles from the wax paper}

Makes about 100 Pecan Turtle Pretzels

Would be beautiful and ready for giving in a simple white tin and pretty red grosgrain ribbon from The Container Store
