According to WikiAnswers, about 700. Took about a minute to google. I love the internet!

Hmmm...as a teacher I bet I use a lot more than 700. I have been recycling though.

We are a huge waster of paper in my company. I try to recycle paper at home when I can, but at work they don't recycle ANYTHING. (More than 700 pounds of paper for average American. One site says 749.)

700 pounds which is apparently equivalent to the amount of paper that can be created from one 100 foot tall douglas fir tree. Hmm, that's pretty disturbing.

If the average person uses 700 pounds of paper per year, I can honestly say that I am under that number. I recycle/reuse as much paper as I can. I use the backs of all the papers my 2nd grader brings home from school and all the junk mail I get to print, use for art projects, scrap paper, etc...I am also a big recycler.

I bet it is way more than needed. I try to do my part in cutting down. Like getting paperless statements, etc.

I work in a small law office (10 employees) and the amount of paper we go through is horrifying. Everything that's done electronically is printed out so we can have a hard copy. It's staggering, really. I try to take home everyone's recyclables, but sometimes it feels like a drop in the bucket...Love the apron, by the way!

Is this a trick question? Does junk mail coming to my house without my asking for it count in the 700 pounds it says everywhere? Eek! Luckily, we recycle as much paper as we can.
